About Us

Before ToothSure was founded, Dr. Greg R. Baker had one mission: to make preventive oral care easier, smarter, and more accessible for everyone, wherever life takes them.

It started in Eastern Kentucky, a region with some of the worst health outcomes in the United States. Kentucky ranks among the nation's highest in tooth loss among older adults and in oral and pharyngeal cancers, and in parts of Appalachian Kentucky, the majority of children screened have had untreated tooth decay. Families struggled to find pediatric dentists and care for patients with special needs, and poor oral health contributed to chronic infections that reached far beyond the mouth, affecting the heart and lungs.

After advanced training at the University of Florida, Dr. Baker returned home to build specialized hospital programs for Medicaid patients and underserved families. But soon, he saw a deeper problem: traditional oral care tools weren't built for real-world challenges. So he set out to create better ones, first imagining them as everyday products for families at home.

That's when ToothSure was born. Dr. Baker joined forces with Brandon Wilde, MD, MBA, and engineer Rico Dey, and together the three co-founders set out to design ToothSure's flagship products and take on one of the biggest problems in modern healthcare.

​

Hospital-acquired pneumonia is the most common hospital-acquired infection in the United States, and it often begins in the mouth. The same risk follows residents and patients in assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities, where many people depend on others for daily oral care. Dr. Wilde saw that better oral hygiene in these settings could help prevent serious infections, and he helped focus ToothSure on the patients who need it most. Rico led the engineering behind OralVac and OralVac+, turning a clinical idea into practical, reliable devices built for care teams.

Built on Dr. Baker's 35+ years of hands-on experience, we're creating first-to-market tools like OralVac and OralVac+: portable, preventive solutions made for hospitals, assisted living, nursing, and rehabilitation facilities, and for the patients, residents, and caregivers who rely on them every day.
